About Justin Diezmo

Justin is a filmmaker based in Toronto, Ontario, specialised in directing, writing and editing. He graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Image Arts: Film Studies program in 2019. Justin co-directed the short documentary ‘As Niagara Falls’ inspired by his hometown, which garnered national recognition on CityTv, BuzzFeed News, the Vancouver Sun and more due to its provoking subject matter and filmmaking. He has since written and directed 'finger' (NFFTY 2020 Official Selection, Cinefest Sudbury 2021 Official Selection), and ‘Laundry Day’ (Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival 2023 Official Selection, Pendance Film Festival 2024 Official Selection). He has also completed work for Deloitte, Historica Canada, and United Way Toronto, and edited trailers for feature films Seeds (levelFilm, 2024), Krazy House (XYZ Films, 2024), Hey Viktor! (levelFilm, 2023), The Queen Of My Dreams (Cineplex Pictures, 2023) and more.
Justin currently works for Champ and Pepper as an editor for film and television marketing.
